Nasittuq is currently bidding on the contract for the Operation & Maintenance of the North Warning System (NWS). The NWS is a joint Canada and United States early-warning radar system with 47 sites located in Northern Canada; a Control Centre and Support Centre located in North Bay, ON and a Contract Management Office located in Ottawa, ON.

This job posting is being advertised in advance of award of a contract. Employment is contingent upon Nasittuq being awarded the contract.

Responsibilities:

The NWS Business Manager will be responsible for the preparation and on-going administration of the NWS Five Year Business Plan (FYBP).

  • Responsible for consolidating all NWS field work for all department requirements into a master Five Year Operations and Sustainment Plan (FYO&SP)
  • Responsible for liaising with departments to resolve scheduling conflicts
  • The FYO&SP is a living document and the NWS Business Planner is responsible to endure timely updates to ensure the FYO&SP remains current and represents the realistic scheduling of NWS field work.
  • Prepare and submit an annual analysis of the previous year’s activity

Qualifications:

  • Designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Five (5) years of project management experience.
  • Adaptability and ability to manage priorities with attention to detail and work cross-culturally.
  • Computer literate in MS applications, strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must be Canadian citizens, be eligible and maintain Level (II) SECRET security clearance.
