About the position
Reporting to the Director of the Project and Change Management Office, the Senior Project Management Lead provides strategic, analytic and project management (PM) expertise to support the continuous improvement of PM practices. As a subject matter expert, you provide advice, guidance and support to management and colleagues and oversee the ongoing enhancements of PM methodology, processes and templates, ensuring alignment with best practices.
Your future responsibilities
As a Senior Project Management Lead, you build and maintain partnerships with Portfolio and Program groups and key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of many transformational initiatives. You lead internal project/program reviews and consider risks along the way. You are also responsible for the ongoing enhancements of the Project Management Delivery (PMD) framework and its alignment with the iterative approach, and you promote the effective use of its tools. You provide support and coaching to Project Managers, Project Controllers and Business Analysts when required. You may be called upon to represent the Bank's interests with stakeholders and to make presentations to clients and colleagues to ensure a common understanding of PM tools and standards.
Your education and experience
a completed bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or business administration with seven years of PM experience
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or an equivalent of 4,000 hours of PM work
an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Your knowledge and skills
As the Senior Project Management Lead, you are a team player yet also capable of working independently with little supervision. You are a self-starter, effective communicator, change contributor and innovative problem solver.
You have experience managing projects in an iterative way, using the Agile methodology. You are capable of building relationships with Information Technology Services (ITS) members and client groups. You have strong planning and organizational skills, solid analytic and problem-solving skills and are able to provide high-quality results under pressure.
You have advanced knowledge of the following:
project life-cycle management
principles and issues pertaining to PM
understanding of information technology (IT) service delivery and support processes
experience working in a project management office (PMO) setting or exposure to an organization that had a PMO
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
Priority will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
Must be eligible for reliability status
English or French essential (although the position requires a level 5 (fully functional) in the second official language, we are open to those with a lower level and may provide training to help the selected candidate reach the required level over time)
There will be no relocation assistance provided.

The salary range at hire for this position is typically from $98,039 to $114,379 (job grade 18), when you meet all qualifications and experience
