Job Description :
BBA is currently seeking a Chemical Engineer to join a team that offers high-quality expertise and consulting services. You will be required to develop and strengthen client relationships, and your role as engineer will be to contribute to proposals, engineering, technology selection and project delivery for plant services, such as biofuels manufacturing processes, water treatment, liquefied natural gas and utilities (air, water, steam, nitrogen).
More specifically, you will be expected to:
Prepare simple plans and basic calculations. Apply established design and calculation methods. Carry out commissioning and equipment performance testing. Perform routine inspections or technical surveys. Participate, where required, in various work phases, at the office and on site. Develop mass and energy balances using simulation software. Select and size process equipment. Draft specifications, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts, technical specifications and assessments as well as reports. Participate, where required, in various work phases, at the office, on site or in a lab. Prepare proposals. Participate in the development and growth of the firm. Applies the firm’s health and safety policy and takes the necessary preventive or corrective measures to perform the work safely; becomes familiar with the firm’s prevention program; and applies specific job directives.

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the Oil, Gas and Biofuels industry. Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ). Hold sound knowledge of statistics and effective analytical skills. Excellent knowledge of fluid mechanics and heat transfer. Interest in and knowledge of process control. Interest in the environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent spoken and written communication. Bilingual (English/French – spoken and written).
