Description

The site technician’s duties include working on mine work sites to ensure compliance and that permit guidelines are properly applied.

Main duties:

Provide technical management and direction of geotechnical site investigations, supervise investigation activities, perform laboratory materials testing and prepare technical reports.

Review and supervise civil and geotechnical construction activities.

Perform site supervision.

Perform site testing for quality assurance and control of civil and geotechnical work.

Attend site meetings.

Draft reports.

Ensure work compliance.

Attend training, where required.

Keep various logs up to date.

Ensure continuous communication with the various stakeholders on the work site and in the design offices.

College diploma or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
