Job description

Mawashi is presently looking for a passionate CAD Designer with a strong sense of innovation to join its team.

Common tasks of this position will be as follow:

  • Design, model, modify, analyze and optimize mechanical parts and assembly structures
  • Produce technical drawings using functional tolerancing
  • Design plan simulations using Solidworks software
  • Recommend alternative manufacturing processes, materials and specifications
  • Provide support during users fittings (assembly of prototypes)
  • Daily and rigorous recording of the status of tasks performed on the project's management platform
  • Follow-up on projects involving multidisciplinary teams
  •  Ensure system improvements with a high degree of innovation
  •  Maintain synergy with other team members


  • Minimum 5 years of CAD work experience (advanced level)
  • Excellent knowledge of Solidworks (advanced level)
  • Technical drawing skills with functional tolerancing (intermediate level)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes (an asset)
  • Biomedical and/or mechanical experience
  • Knowledge of the Human body
  • Excellent knowledge of French and English (oral and written)
