Role: Residential Boiler Technician Status: Regular, Full-Time Division: Enercare Home and Commercial Services – A1 Chesney Location: Calgary, AB Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of residential boiler and hydronic heating systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship in homeowners’ environments. Responsibilities: Install, service, and repair residential boiler systems, including hydronic heating and radiant heating systems Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and seasonal tune-ups Troubleshooting defective boiler and hydronic systems. Work with components such as pumps, valves, thermostats, expansion tanks, and zone controls Ensure compliance with Alberta Boiler Safety Association (ABSA) regulations, local codes, and manufacturer specifications Handle customer concerns, questions or problems in an effective manner and provide clear, professional communication to homeowners regarding system issues, repairs, and recommendations Maintain accurate service records, invoices, and work orders Respond to emergency service calls, including after-hours when required Follow all company safety procedures and Alberta OHS standards Qualifications: The qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Gas Fitter 1 or 2 license or Plumbing License 5-10 years of working experience with Residential Boilers Completion of Journeyman Certification preferred Able to operate all necessary tools and equipment to perform various projects. The ability to work overtime and weekend hours as required. Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of customer-focused service.
