Maintenance Technician, Full Time

The hourly wage range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hour Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This is a posting for an existing job vacancy ESFM is the corporate Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) division of Compass Group Canada operating in the business & industry sector. JOB SUMMARY Assist with day-to-day upkeep, maintenance and smooth operation of the facility. Essential duties and responsibilities: * Perform regular maintenance on the facility including: changing light bulbs, carpentry, painting, minor drywall repair, minor plumbing and tile repair * Repairing Interior walls, installing drywall for repair or replacement * Inspect the facility and other structures to detect malfunctions, furniture maintenance and conduct repairs accordingly. * Ad-Hoc duties such as Window and door repairs, mounting curtain poles, track and fixture shelves * Perform other work related duties as assigned (custodial duties. administrative duties) * Complete preventative maintenance (mechanical rounds, equipment testing, etc.) and annual inspections * Room setups, furniture reconfiguration/moves as required * Service and update online service tickets/work orders * duties will include maintenance (repair and cleaning of building) * Duties will include maintenance related to cleaning, restocking supplies/dispensers and sanitizing areas. * Coverage and support for office front desk and parcels/mail as required. Qualifications: * Possess excellent communication skills in English both oral and written * Physical ability to carry out the duties of this position * Comfortable with heavy lifting and extensive walking around the facility * Ability to operate related equipment such as manual or electric tools * Ability to work independently as well as get along with others * Should be highly detail oriented as well as ability to multitask * Must be aware and or trained on the safe use of equipment, site safety practices, fire prevention and work regulations * Computer skills required for communication, job coordination and updating work completed tickets.
