Prospective team members can learn more about Fibracast and FibrePlate™ solutions at www.fibracast.com. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role based in Hannon, ON. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine and emergency maintenance on production and facility equipment, including inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include executing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and supporting industrial systems used in membrane manufacturing. The role involves collaborating with operations staff to prioritize work orders, documenting maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures. The Maintenance Technician will also assist in equipment installations, improvements, and continuous optimization of maintenance practices. Qualifications · Inspect the facility, machinery, and equipment regularly to identify maintenance requirements and potential issues. · Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment. · Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and integrated systems. · Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance situations to minimize downtime. · Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues using schematics, technical drawings, manuals, and testing equipment. · Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation to ensure proper operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment. · Coordinate with the Production Manager to schedule maintenance activities and engage vendors or contractors when specialized services are required. · Ensure all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with production schedules and operational requirements. · Follow all safety regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintain equipment in a safe operating condition to prevent hazards. · Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment by adhering to company 5S standards and workplace safety policies. · Record and document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and equipment history in maintenance logs or CMMS systems. · Hire, coordinate, and supervise external trades and contractors during installations, repairs, and maintenance projects. · Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, compressed air, and other facility infrastructure. · Assist in developing and managing maintenance budgets while ensuring cost-effective use of resources. · Monitor and maintain inventory levels of maintenance supplies, spare parts, tools, and equipment. · Order maintenance materials, spare parts, and equipment in the best interest of Fibracast while ensuring cost efficiency and operational reliability. · Participate in facility improvement, installation, expansion, and renovation projects. · Ensure compliance with company quality standards, environmental requirements, and health and safety regulations. · Collaborate with production personnel and other departments to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance. · Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to reduce downtime and improve productivity.
