Position Summary: The Rental Technician (Biking) is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service, as well as high-quality bike inspection, repair, and maintenance for both rental fleet and guest-owned bicycles. This role requires strong technical bike mechanic skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members. Duties & Responsibilities: * Safely inspect, diagnose, repair, and service rental fleet bikes and guest bikes. * Perform all levels of service work, including, but not limited to: brake adjustments, shifting adjustments, cable replacements, tire inspections, brake pad and rotor services, shift cable replacements, etc. * Maintain rental fleet bikes in safe working condition * Assist rental staff with safely sizing and fitting appropriate equipment. * Care for all tools and equipment and ensure bike maintenance and retail area is kept clean and organized * Be knowledgeable of the products available in the retail shop and provide guests with exceptional service Qualifications: * Previous experience working as a bike mechanic * Strong understanding of bike components, systems, and repair procedures * Previous experience working in a retail setting an asset * Experienced mountain biker and knowledge of bike parts and services * Excellent customer service skills * Ability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed Our Commitments to You: * Supportive Experience - Our goal is to provide our guests with an exceptional experience and we are just as committed to ensuring that your experience is equally exceptional.We strive to create a positive and inclusive workplace where our employees feel valued and heard. * Value-Added Perks - As part of our team you will enjoy exclusive employee discounts and special offers on accommodations, dining and amenities at any of our affiliated Resorts which include Muskoka Bay Resort and Deerhurst Resort. * Career Mobility - With multiple properties within the Freed Hotels & Resorts portfolio, we provide opportunities to explore different roles, locations and career paths within the organization, giving you the flexibility and ability to shape your career journey. What you’ll do

Responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of both rental fleet and guest-owned bicycles. Additionally, provides exceptional guest service and assists with equipment sizing and fitting.

Requirements

Requires previous experience as a bike mechanic with a strong understanding of bike components and systems. Candidates should have mountain biking knowledge and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
