Job summary
The primary responsibility of this position will be operating our shredder. The successful candidate will be tasked with shredding plastics, locomotive filters, and other waste for destruction, as well as performing routine maintenance and housekeeping duties associated with the equipment. Key Responsibilities: In addition to the primary responsibilities, the successful candidate will receive training on the following responsibilities: Operating the hydraulic filter crusher and other related equipment. Sorting, consolidating, and processing various waste streams. Performing shop and yard housekeeping, including floor and equipment washing. Completing basic equipment pre-use inspections, reports, and bills of lading. Offloading and reloading box trucks, pups, and trailers. Assisting with third-party loading and offloading operations. Other duties as assigned. Shift Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM. Having a vehicle is considered an asset. Requirements: Valid Manitoba Class 5 license or equivalent Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of time.
