Job summary
GFT is seeking a pipeline of Senior Water/Wastewater Treatment Process Engineering talent to join our Water team in either Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa ON. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our Toronto, Mississauga or Ottawa office. What you'll be challenged to do: Undertake the design of both public and private sector municipal servicing projects (i.e. sewage pumping stations and water booster stations, elevated tanks, reservoirs, and water/wastewater treatment systems) including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies. Coordinate the design with review/input from the various municipal/utility/approval agencies/stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals. Liaise with clients, municipalities, and other agencies to secure approvals. Assist developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing and schedule. Prepare contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications). May conduct construction inspection services and construction administration. May provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications. Participate in constructability review. Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects. Mentor recently hired junior team members on the various facets of municipal infrastructure design. Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects. Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision. What You will Bring to our firm: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering. P.Eng. licensure with P.E.O. 10 years of experience in the execution of wastewater infrastructure (sewer pumping stations, booster pumping stations, reservoir and elevated tanks and water and wastewater treatment plants) projects. What we prefer you bring Experience with Master Planning, Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario considered or equivalent in other Provinces is considered an asset. Contract administration experience is considered an asset. Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions. Compensation: The salary range for this position is $107,700.00 - $163,000.00 dependent upon experience and geographic location.
