Job Description Responsible for day-to-day receipt, processing and analysis of samples submitted for Flow Cytometry testing Responsible for troubleshooting testing order inconsistencies with SOP Works directly with Technical and Professional leadership staff in Flow Cytometry Assists in referred-out testing for Flow Cytometry as required Assists with monitoring inventory not limited to supply levels, receiving stock and lot controls Works with the Flow Cytometry Team for validation of new processes and procedures and related SOPs Responsible for QC activities and documentation for Flow Cytometry as required Qualifications Halton Healthcare endeavors to hire individuals who are competent in their chosen profession and who exemplify our mission, vision and values of accountability, respect and compassion which guide our individual behaviours and attitudes. Current general registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario required Recent clinical experience of 3-5 years in Flow Cytometry, including Sample preparation and Analysis Must be proficient in all aspects of manual and automated specimen preparation Must be proficient in pipetting and production of manual antibody cocktails Must be proficient in all aspects of analysis software for sample acquisition and analysis of multi-colour data to provide diagnostic interpretation to HemePath Must be proficient with lot validation and all aspects of QC, including voltage and compensation Experience in routine lab equipment not limited to centrifuges, BSC, Fumehood and vortex Must be aware and adhere to all required lab safety protocols Ability to work effectively as a collaborative member of a team A positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position Good employment and attendance record required Additional Information Hours: Monday to Friday - Various rotating 7.5 hour shifts (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs) Salary: $38.800 to $52.910 per hour Date Posted: October 1, 2026 Internal applications due by: October 8, 2026 REF4215Q Halton Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer who is committed to integrating diversity, equity and inclusion throughout our operations, policies and culture. Requirements
Requires current general registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario and 3–5 years of recent clinical flow cytometry experience. Candidates must be proficient in specimen preparation, pipetting and antibody cocktails, analysis software, multicolor data interpretation, lot validation, quality control, and routine laboratory equipment, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
