Registered Nuclear Med Technologist

Working closely with other members of the department, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs clinical imaging procedures while maintaining an environment which is patient focused. Other responsibilities include: ensuring all procedures are performed according to established protocols and standards of practice and in a safe and compliant manner according to CNSC regulations; participating in various training programs and research studies; and contributing to an environment which supports clinical excellence and continuous learning. 1. Graduate of an approved training program in Nuclear Medicine Technology 2. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist of Ontario 3. Basic Life Support Certificate (must be current or acquired within 3 months) 4. Ability and willingness to work with and teach students 5. Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team environment 6. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills 7. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment 8. Evidence of participation in on going education & professional development 9. Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRS preferred

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs clinical imaging procedures while maintaining a patient-focused environment. They also ensure all protocols are followed according to CNSC regulations and participate in training and research initiatives.

Candidates must be graduates of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program and hold current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario. A Basic Life Support certificate and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical team environment are also required.
