High Arctic focuses on delivering tailored energy solutions in Papua New Guinea, a region we have supported for over 17 years through oil and gas exploration and production. We are seeking experienced Fire Service Technicians to support our operations and upcoming projects across Papua New Guinea. This is an exciting opportunity to join a professional team responsible for maintaining critical fire protection and life safety systems across a range of operational environments. Successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring compliance, reliability, and safety across our assets and client sites. Key Responsibilities Inspection, testing, servicing, and maintenance of fire protection systems and equipment. Installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of fire detection and alarm systems. Inspection and maintenance of portable fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, and suppression systems. Conducting routine compliance inspections and preparing service reports. Identifying faults and recommending corrective actions. Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with relevant standards, regulations, and company procedures. Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation. Promoting and adhering to all workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements. To succeed in this role, candidates will meet the following criteria: Recognised trade qualification in Fire Protection, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems. Strong knowledge of applicable fire safety standards and regulations. Ability to diagnose faults and undertake corrective maintenance activities. Experience working in industrial, mining, oil and gas, or construction environments will be highly regarded. Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current driver’s licence. Excellent communication and reporting skills.
