Job summary

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial mechanical systems in line with 433A Millwright standards Perform conveyor system repairs, rebuilds, and modifications (belts, pulleys, rollers, gearboxes, drives, guarding) Conduct precision alignment, leveling, and balancing of rotating equipment Fabricate and modify mechanical components including frames, guards, chutes, and brackets Perform structural and mechanical welding (MIG, Stick; TIG is an asset) Safely operate oxy-fuel, plasma cutting, and grinding equipment Operate manual machining equipment (lathe, milling machine, grinders) Interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings Diagnose mechanical failures using root-cause analysis and measurement tools Install and maintain bearings, seals, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic components Execute preventive maintenance with a focus on reliability and uptime Use precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) Follow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work protocols Work independently on night shift while collaborating with operations teams Maintain accurate maintenance logs and communicate updates to leadership Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications / Skills: 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal certification (preferred) Welding certification (CWB or equivalent) considered a strong asset Proven experience with conveyor systems and fabrication-heavy environments Strong manual machining skills (lathe, milling, grinding) Ability to work independently on night shifts in an industrial setting Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
