Job summary
Job Purpose The Plumber/Medical Gas Technician is responsible for performing plumbing work at the journeyman level and installing and maintaining medical gas systems. Qualifications Must hold a Provincial Certificate of Qualification issued under the Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification Act as a plumber or welder. Must hold a medical gas system verifier or a medical gas system installer license issued under the Boiler Pressure Vessel Act. Must have or be willing to acquire Backflow Prevention Certification. Must have two years of experience. Must have a valid drivers license. Ability to attend work on a regular basis. Ability to perform the duties of the position. Good work record. Key Responsibilities The Plumber/Medical Gas Technician is responsible for: Installing, modifying, troubleshooting and maintaining medical gas systems and system components Taking medical gas readings and testing medical gas system components Rebuilding gas outlets Sourcing and requisitioning new equipment and parts for repair and maintaining inventory Installing, modifying, repairing and maintaining plumbing systems Installing, modifying, repairing and maintaining the plumbing components of a heating, ventilation and air control system Installing, maintaining and testing back flow preventative equipment COMPETENCIES IDENTIFIED BY HORIZON HEALTH NETWORK Analytical Thinking Attention to Detail Communication Flexibility Interpersonal Relations Patient/Client Focus Problem Solving Results Orientation Interested?
