Test and validate components, systems, and prototypes; collect and document data; troubleshoot technical issues; and assemble, calibrate, and maintain engineering and production equipment. Support prototype development and manufacturing improvements while ensuring safety and quality compliance and maintaining tools and test equipment.

Lead the mechanical design and lifecycle of optoelectronic assemblies, including tolerance analysis, semiconductor packaging, precision fixtures, prototyping, and validation. Manage product data and BOMs, automate testing, investigate failures, and coordinate with vendors, OSAT partners, and cross-functional teams to support production scale-up.

The role involves managing day-to-day photonics laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, inventory control, and safety compliance. The technologist will also support engineers with testing, qualification, and the creation of technical documentation.
