We utilize state-of-the-art technology—including embroidery, screen printing, and digital systems—to meet the demands of our growing client base. We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Equipment Technician to join our team out of the Richmond Hill office. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY The Machine Maintenance Technician at Levelwear is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of all production and warehouse equipment. This is a hands-on role that ensures maximum uptime and production efficiency. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, electrically capable, and comfortable working with networked production hardware in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on embroidery machines, automatic screen print presses, heat transfer systems, and digital printers. * Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC systems. * Equipment Setup: Execute machine calibrations, setups, and production changeovers to ensure high-quality output. * Installation: Support the installation, commissioning, and testing of new production and warehouse equipment. * Electrical & Connectivity: Resolve electrical issues (motors, control panels, wiring) and collaborate with IT to ensure stable network connectivity (TCP/IP) for digital production software. * Documentation & Inventory: Maintain accurate maintenance logs, report recurring mechanical issues, and manage the spare parts inventory. * Safety Compliance: Ensure all tools are in safe working order and strictly follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures. QUALIFICATIONS * Experience: 3–5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (decorated apparel experience is highly preferred). * Technical Skills: Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to read and interpret technical schematics. * Equipment Knowledge: Prior experience with embroidery machines, screen print presses, or large-format digital printers. * Digital Literacy: Working knowledge of networked production equipment and basic TCP/IP understanding. * Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose mechanical failures and work independently to find solutions. * Communication: Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain clear documentation.
