JOB DESCRIPTIONWhat We OfferIrving Tissue is proud to offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including but not limited to:Starting wage of $28.788Night shift and Sunday premiumsFlexible Health and Dental Benefits packageRRSP retirement planBonus ProgramUniform allowance and cleaning servicesWellness Reimbursement PolicyOn-site cafeteriaRESPONSIBILITIESEnsure the safe operations of our equipment and the safety of our peopleMaintain the high quality standards of our products and address quality items with a high sense of urgencyWork with team of employees to operate and optimize high speed equipment and technology, including collaboration with Maintenance and Process Support staffPerform product and grade changeovers based on the planned scheduleMaintain, monitor, troubleshoot, and/or adjust equipment and technology to maximize performance, as well as input measurements into computer systemsRespond to any defects or issues with the machine, i.e., lights, alarms and visual indicators to ensure conformance to company standardsHandle and feed a variety of raw materials into machinery and equipment in an effort to maintain productionPerform general housekeeping duties in an effort support safety and quality standardsQUALIFICATIONSEducation required: High School Diploma Required, Trade School or College Diploma in a related technical field preferredYears of Experience Required: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including experience working with hand-held tools and/or equipmentAbility to troubleshoot and diagnose operational set-up issues with the manufacturing equipmentExperience working in a manufacturing environment is an assetStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsProficiency with computers and technologyHighly motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team memberHigh degree of attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMust be organized and have demonstrated the ability to multi-taskAbility to and willingness to learn and growMust be able to work rotating 12 hour shifts, which includes nights and weekendsThe primary language of work is EnglishABOUT USFounded in 1882, J.D.
