We're partnering with a well-established, unionized manufacturer that is looking to add a licensed 433A Millwright to their maintenance team. This opportunity is particularly well suited for someone with hands-on experience maintaining CNC woodworking equipment, including HOMAG or Biesse machinery, who is comfortable troubleshooting in a fast-paced production environment. The opening is the result of an internal promotion. The successful candidate will join an experienced maintenance team and receive hands-on training to learn the facility and equipment. The company is also investing in new automated machinery and expanding its operations, creating longer-term opportunities for growth within the maintenance team. Please Note: This position requires experience maintaining CNC woodworking equipment such as beam saws, edge banders and CNC drilling machines. Experience limited to CNC metal-cutting lathes or machining centres is not directly transferable. RESPONSIBILITIES - Troubleshoot and repair CNC woodworking equipment, including HOMAG machinery, CNC saws, edge banders, drilling machines and related production equipment. - Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and support production. - Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic and basic electrical equipment faults. - Read and interpret electrical drawings and mechanical schematics during troubleshooting. - Complete routine inspections, lubrication, adjustments, alignments and scheduled maintenance. - Repair and replace bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, gearboxes, motors, pneumatic components and other mechanical assemblies. - Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including electrical panel and component diagnostics. - Support equipment installations, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives as new machinery is introduced. - Work independently when required, prioritizing breakdowns and making sound troubleshooting decisions with limited support. - Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow all company safety, quality and maintenance procedures. QUALIFICATIONS - Valid Ontario 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Certificate of Qualification. - Hands-on maintenance experience with CNC woodworking machinery, with HOMAG or Biesse equipment considered a strong asset. - Experience troubleshooting CNC saws, edge banders, drilling machines or similar automated woodworking equipment. - Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills with experience in pneumatic systems and basic electrical troubleshooting. - Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and mechanical schematics. - Comfortable troubleshooting equipment independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. - Strong preventative maintenance and equipment reliability mindset. Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
