Position: Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson - Calgary Yard Project Type: Shop Project Location: Calgary, AB Shift: Day Schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off Accommodations: Local Only GC: Graham Allied Partner: Technical Workforce Inc. Reference Number: 31939 Jardeg is currently recruiting for a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyperson to work with Technical Workforce Inc. at our Calgary Yard. The schedule for this position is 5 days on and 2 days off. This position is mainly based in the field, working out of service truck in the Yard and on our multiple project sites within Calgary and surrounding areas. Responsibilities Hands on maintenance and repairs of all civil construction equipment including dozers, articulated trucks, excavators, etc. Running repairs and maintenance work. Replacing components. Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults. Preventive maintenance and services. Complete work according to the manufacturer’s specifications. Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel. Interpret work orders and technical manuals. Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained. Diagnose faults or malfunctions. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations. Complete service reports. Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics. Minimum Requirements Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Equipment Technician trade Minimum 3–5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy equipment in a field or a yard Experience working independently out of a service truck in active construction environments Ability and willingness to travel to multiple job sites and work primarily in the field Strong commitment to safety, with knowledge of safe work practices and job site protocols Valid Class 5 Driver's License Reliable transportation to get to work COME AND GET YOUR BOOTS DIRTY!
