Lounsbury Chevrolet Moncton is committed to investing in our employees through training programs and a great work environment, plus: Competitive Wages Group Benefits Plan including health, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability and long-term disability, that start on the first day of work (no waiting period) Paid Vacation and Personal days (vacation is negotiable based on experience) Company Pension Plan (after 6 months) Employee discounts on cars, services and Lounsbury Furniture Career growth and continuous development Responsibilities Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed Replace front-end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting, hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place Apply primers and repaint surfaces Repair or replace interior components Repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroofs Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment Qualifications Red seal and/or Licensed Body Shop Technician certificate is required Must have a valid Driver's License and a clean Driver's Abstract Must be reliable and like to work as part of a team Must have good dexterity: free range of motion in their hands and arms to work with small parts and small spaces Have good attention to detail This is a unionized position. Licensed Body Shop Technicians are paid $33.46 per hour. Apprentices may apply however preference will be given to candidates with a Licenses. The technician is responsible for reviewing damage reports and performing comprehensive auto body repairs, including panel replacement and frame straightening. They must also prepare surfaces for painting and ensure vehicles are properly tested for handling after repair.

Candidates must hold a Red Seal or Licensed Body Shop Technician certificate and a valid driver's license with a clean abstract. Reliability, attention to detail, and the physical dexterity to work in small spaces are essential.
