Field Service Technician - Technical Sales Motiontek Industrial is seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Field Service Technician - Technical Sales professional to join our team. This is primarily a hands-on field service position with an additional technical sales component, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to solve customer problems while identifying service, parts, packaging consumables, upgrades, and equipment solutions that add value. The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically capable, comfortable working independently at customer sites, and able to build strong relationships while representing Motiontek Industrial in a professional manner. Key Responsibilities Install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and test industrial equipment at customer locations. Respond efficiently to service calls, preventive maintenance visits, installations, and emergency support requirements. Diagnose electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and related equipment issues. Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, manuals, schematics, and technical documentation. Provide basic operator training and equipment guidance to customers. Communicate professionally with customers and ensure service concerns are properly addressed. Identify and develop customer opportunities for service, repairs, parts, preventive maintenance programs, packaging consumables, equipment upgrades, and new equipment. Recommend practical technical solutions that improve equipment reliability, uptime, safety, and performance. Act as a trusted technical resource for customers while developing long-term customer relationships. Communicate service findings, customer requirements, and sales opportunities to management and the sales team. Support quotation and sales activities by providing accurate technical information, photos, measurements, part numbers, and customer requirements. Develop alternative solutions when standard parts, equipment, or repair methods are not available. Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation. Represent Motiontek Industrial professionally at all customer locations. Requirements Experience servicing, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment. Strong electrical, electronic, mechanical, and basic computer knowledge. Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Trade school, apprenticeship, or college diploma in an industrial, electrical, or mechanical field is preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Previous technical sales, equipment sales, or industrial customer-facing experience is an asset, but not required. Ability to explain technical issues and solutions clearly to customers. Comfortable identifying sales opportunities through customer needs rather than a hard-sales approach. Ability to identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts, service, preventive maintenance programs, packaging consumables, upgrades, and equipment solutions. Professional attitude, dependable work ethic, and ability to work independently. Willingness to travel to customer sites as required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Compensation & Benefits $27–$32 per hour, based on experience and technical ability. Paid travel time and mileage. Commission and performance bonus opportunities for qualified sales opportunities generated through field service activities. Exigences

Requires experience in servicing industrial equipment and the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings. A trade school diploma or apprenticeship in an industrial field is preferred, along with a valid driver's license.
