We are searching for an Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of line equipment and mechanical systems across our facility. Working in a dynamic environment, you will troubleshoot mechanical issues, perform preventive maintenance, support line changeovers, and minimize downtime to maximize production efficiency. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * High School Graduation or equivalent. * Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience working with industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment. * Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * REQUIRED / Red Seal endorsement or valid trade certification as an Industrial Mechanic / Millwright recognized in Canada. * Experience in food processing, packaging, or non-durable goods manufacturing environments. * Ability to work flexible hours, including shift work or overtime as required. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Equipment Maintenance: Monitor line equipment continuously to ensure peak performance, execute preventive maintenance schedules, diagnose mechanical failures, and perform prompt repairs. * Operations Support: Assist with line changeovers and ensure smooth operational transitions between shifts. * Installation & Alignment: Assemble, align, and maintain industrial machinery according to specifications, technical drawings, and blueprints. * Record Keeping: Log downtime, track work order activity, and maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks using maintenance management processes. * Safety & Tools: Safely operate tools, maintain your personal toolkit, and promote a safe working environment. * Health & Safety: Under direction from your Supervisor or Manager, follow all applicable Barbours Health & Safety policies and procedures for your work area. Participate in required training and retraining on safety procedures, including but not limited to monthly safety talks, PPE, lock-out/tag-out, equipment functions, forklift, and scissor lift training. SKILLS: The required skills enable the Millwright to perform precise mechanical installations and repairs, ensuring machinery operates efficiently and safely. Strong troubleshooting abilities allow for quick diagnosis and resolution of mechanical issues, minimizing production downtime. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and schematics is essential for accurate assembly and maintenance tasks. Effective communication and teamwork skills facilitate collaboration with engineers and production staff to optimize equipment performance and implement improvements.
