Your work environment at EXP EXP’s is currently seeking a Junior Environmental Field Technician to join their team in London office. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the successful candidate will be joining a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment. This opportunity will be best suited for individuals that are self-motivated, hardworking, and passionate about the environmental field. What a day at EXP has in store for you * Responsible for the completion of various field investigations (test pits, borehole drilling, sampling), monitoring and associated reporting for a variety of Environmental Services, including, but not limited to: Environmental Site Assessments (Phase I and Phase II ESAs); * Research and conduct site review for ESA Phase I; * Soil and water sampling at project sites; * Environmental Site Remediation (Underground Storage Tank Removals, Soil and/or Groundwater Remediation Oversight). What your experience looks like * Environmental/Geological/Civil Technician Diploma or Undergraduate Degree in Natural Sciences (Earth Science, Environmental Science, or Engineering); * One to two years of related field experience for environmental works (drilling, sampling, remediation oversight); * Experience completing soil vapour, indoor air sampling or sub-slab vapour sampling would be considered an asset; * Eligibility for registration with OACETT, PEO or APGO would be an asset; * Willingness to travel across Ontario and Canada and participate in field programs (as needed) * Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental regulations in addition to filing of RSCs * Experience working in environmental consulting would be considered an asset; * Strong computer skills; * Effective writing and communication skills; * Willingness to travel and participate in field programs; * A valid driver's G license and access to a vehicle are required, as this role will include field visits to client sites; * Ability to work in a team environment; * Self-motivated and independent work habits; * Working knowledge of Provincial and Federal Environmental Regulations; * Working knowledge of building structures and systems would be an asset. This job posting is for an existing position vacancy within our organization. The salary range for this role is between $45K-$51K. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Requirements
Candidates must hold an Environmental, Geological, or Civil Technician Diploma or an undergraduate degree in Natural Sciences. One to two years of related field experience and a valid driver's G license are required for this position.
