We are seeking a Relief Full Time Medical Device Reprocessing Technician | Perioperative Aide at Kootenay Lake Hospital in Nelson, BC. Days of work: Days, Evenings, Monday to Friday Shift times: 07:00 to 15:00, 07:30 to 15:30, 08:30 to 16:30 This is a relief position until the return of incumbent. You will perform a series of detailed technical duties related to preparation of the Operating Room (OR) theaters and the position and preparation of the surgical patients and related supplies/equipment. You will restock supplies in the theaters and storage areas and transport patients, specimens, equipment and supplies within the perioperative areas. You will support the surgical team regarding patient observations and interactions, and in the use, care and location of perioperative equipment and supplies. Where are we located? What you’ll do

Perform technical duties to prepare Operating Room theaters, including the positioning of surgical patients and preparation of supplies. Support the surgical team by transporting patients and specimens and managing perioperative equipment.

Requirements

The candidate must be able to perform detailed technical duties in a perioperative environment. The role is an entry-level relief position requiring availability for day and evening shifts.
