We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Laboratory department. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of the Manager or designate, the Medical Laboratory Technologist performs technical work involved in the duties associated with laboratory test procedures. In addition, the Medical Laboratory Technologist evaluates and verifies results and prepares related reports. Relevant Fields of Practice needed for this position are: Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine (Science), Clinical Microbiology, Histology. This position is required to share rotating on call through evenings, nights and weekends.

The Medical Laboratory Technologist performs technical laboratory test procedures and verifies the resulting data. They are also responsible for preparing related reports under the supervision of the Manager.

Exigences

Candidates must have expertise in fields such as Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, and Microbiology. The position requires the ability to work a rotating on-call schedule including evenings, nights, and weekends.
