Role Description The Repair Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in the Los Angeles California Area, responsible for maintaining and repairing Gastronomous kitchen automation equipment at customer locations and in-house facilities. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues, performing in field equipment maintenance, and completing timely repairs to minimize downtime. The role involves documenting service activities, updating maintenance records, and following safety standards and company procedures. The Repair Technician collaborates with internal engineering and operations teams, communicates clearly with customers about service status and equipment use, and supports continuous improvement of service processes and product reliability. Qualifications Strong technical skills in appliance repair and equipment maintenance. Experience working on electromechanical or industrial kitchen systems. Demonstrated troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and basic software issues, including systematic problem diagnosis and resolution. Commitment to customer satisfaction, with clear and professional communication skills when interacting with clients and internal teams. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and service manuals. Comfort working hands-on in commercial kitchen or industrial environments, following all safety and hygiene guidelines. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to customer sites as needed. Experience with IoT-connected or automated systems is an asset; prior work in foodservice or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
