Job Description: Job type: Full-time , Permanent (Mon-Friday + on call) PGS Equipment Ltd. is currently looking to hire a Service Technician for our facility in Taber, AB as well as farms in Alberta and Saskatchewan. Key Responsibilities: - Assembly of equipment in shop and field - Troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and routine maintenance of various farm machinery and equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. - Installation and retrofitting of complex production equipment; fabricating and welding as required. - Maintains current knowledge of company competitive products - Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion - Performs diagnosis and repair in the field as required - Perform work in a safe manner by themselves and with others - Assist with other duties as required Requirements: - Must be dependable and self-motivated team player with the ability to communicate effectively, negotiating and conflict resolution. - Parts and machinery knowledge, preferably row crop equipment - Demonstrated aptitude in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings, manuals, and specifications. - Effective attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy - Work both as a member of a team and individually with minimal supervision - Always maintain proper and safe working conditions - Effectively work in a fast-paced environment, able to work well under pressure and shifting priorities - Strong computer and technology skills is a must - Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract as well as forklift certificate We offer: Benefit package with: (after trail period) - Competitive wages Disability Insurance - Holiday and paid time off Dental + Vision Care - Bonus structure Life insurance - Benefit program and employee discounts Extended health care - Training programs (if available) RRSP (after 3 year employment) If this opportunity fits you, send a copy of your resume & references via email [email protected] We thank all applicants, but only qualified candidates will be contacted.
