Company Description Driftstone Consulting Inc is a consulting engineering firm providing services in structural engineering, code consulting, and project management. With a head office in Regina, SK, we consult across western Canada in the residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural, and institutional sectors. Our agile and dynamic team is exposed to a variety of project types, cultivating diverse skills that improve our problem solving and our approach. Role Description We are looking for a motivated and multifaceted individual to joint our growing team as a Structural Engineer. In this role, you'll be exposed to many building systems and materials in the design phase, overseeing preparation of construction drawings in conformance with the National Building Code and various related standards. In the construction phase, you'll be performing field reviews to verify construction and collaborate on resolutions for issues encountered on-site. As our office continues to grow, we are looking for an individual preferrably located in Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba. Qualifications Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering specializing in structural design from a recognized university Minimum 5 years experience in structural engineering with demonstrated technical skills Registered as a Professional Engineer with APEGA, APEGS, and/or EGM Working knowledge of the National Building Code and municipal regulations Experience in preparing structural construction documents Knowledge of residential, commercial, institutional and/or light industrial design and construction Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Motivated and detailed oriented

What you’ll do

The role involves designing building systems and materials while overseeing the preparation of construction drawings in accordance with the National Building Code. Additionally, the engineer will perform field reviews to verify construction and resolve on-site issues.

Requirements

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and at least 5 years of structural engineering experience. Professional registration with APEGA, APEGS, or EGM is required.
