Job Type: Full-time Location: In person (with work-from-home flexibility) Benefits: Casual dress, Flexible schedule, On-site parking, Paid time off Key Responsibilities Design & Modeling: Develop detailed structural designs and create accurate drafting and modeling for various construction projects, including bridges, buildings, and infrastructure. Material Design: Design and analyze structures utilizing concrete, steel, wood, and miscellaneous materials. Connection Design: Perform comprehensive connection design to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards. Structural Analysis: Perform structural analysis using industry-standard engineering tools to ensure designs meet safety and building code requirements. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously while strictly adhering to deadlines and budget constraints. Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate design efforts and resolve technical issues alongside architects, contractors, and project managers. Site Inspections: Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and oversee construction progress to ensure compliance with design specifications. Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, structural calculations, and regulatory documentation for formal project approval. Qualifications & Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Licensing: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable. Technical Expertise: Proven experience in structural design using concrete, structural steel, wood/timber, miscellaneous metals, and connection design. Technical Skills: Proficiency in major CAD, BIM, 3D modeling, and digital drafting tools. Analysis Software: Experience with structural analysis and design software suites. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, civil engineering principles, building codes, and safety regulations. Core Competencies: Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, paired with strong communication skills for multidisciplinary teamwork.
