Your Opportunity: This Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I (CXLT I / MRT I) position performs quality general radiology and portable examinations in the busy and dynamic Diagnostic Imaging Department at the Cardston Health Centre. Close collaboration with technical staff, nursing, patients, physicians, supervisor and management is required. Located in Cardston the Health Centre is an acute care facility that services a large area of southwestern Alberta. Description: As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures as required.
