Climatech’s primary focus is on maintenance, emphasizing long-term service relationships and reliable support for existing facilities. The organization is consistently seeking new maintenance clients and does not engage in greenfield construction projects. This focus allows Climatech to specialize in optimizing and sustaining building performance for a wide range of established properties. Role Description This full-time, on-site HVAC Technician 313A with G1 role is based in Brampton, ON. The technician will perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on commercial and multi-residential HVAC/R systems, including furnaces, boilers, rooftop units, and related equipment. Daily responsibilities include conducting preventive maintenance inspections, responding to service calls, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring work complies with applicable codes and safety regulations. The role involves working with plumbing and gas systems related to HVAC equipment, documenting service activities, and communicating clearly with clients and internal teams about findings, recommendations, and repair status. The technician will also support emergency service calls and contribute to continuous improvement of service quality and client satisfaction. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC/R system issues efficiently. Candidates should possess plumbing-related skills to work safely with piping, fittings, and hydronic systems associated with HVAC equipment. Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills to perform inspections, routine servicing, and system optimization on a scheduled basis. Candidates should possess electricity-related skills to safely work with electrical circuits, controls, and components within HVAC/R systems. Candidates should possess EPA or equivalent environmental and refrigerant-handling qualifications, with knowledge of safe handling and compliance requirements. Valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems Mechanic license and G1 Gas Technician certification (or equivalent provincial licensing) are required. Demonstrated experience in commercial or multi-residential HVAC/R service, including rooftop units and boiler systems, is highly beneficial. Strong adherence to health and safety practices, ability to read technical drawings and manuals, and effective communication and teamwork skills are expected. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record, with availability for occasional evening or weekend emergency service coverage.
