Role Description The Maintenance Mechanic is a full-time, on-site role based at our Concord, ON facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing bakery production equipment, packaging machinery, and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations. Day-to-day tasks include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing mechanical and minor electrical issues, replacing parts, and ensuring equipment is set up and calibrated for production runs. The Maintenance Mechanic will respond to breakdowns, document maintenance activities, follow safety and food safety protocols, and collaborate with production and quality teams to minimize downtime. The role also involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives, recommending equipment upgrades, and keeping work areas clean and organized. Qualifications Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair for industrial production and packaging machinery. Experience performing Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Background in Industrial Maintenance, including mechanical systems, pneumatics, and basic electrical troubleshooting. Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices; familiarity with food manufacturing or SQF-certified environments is an asset. Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and work orders, and to document maintenance activities accurately. Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in mechanical or industrial maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Willingness to work shift schedules, including evenings or weekends as needed to support production. This role is currently vacant Pays between $25-$30 hourly
