Provide mechanical engineering expertise to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of renewable energy facilities. Assess and troubleshoot equipment, improve performance, support capital projects from design through execution, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, project teams, contractors, and vendors.
The Mechanical Engineer will provide technical expertise to support the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of renewable energy assets. This role works closely with operations, maintenance, and project teams to deliver engineering solutions, optimize equipment performance, and support capital projects. Responsibilities Provide mechanical engineering support for renewable energy facilities. Lead equipment assessments, troubleshooting, and performance improvement initiatives. Support capital projects from design through execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors. Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards and safety requirements. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer (P.Eng./OIQ) designation required. Minimum 10 years of experience in power generation, renewable energy, or a related industry. Experience with rotating equipment, power plant systems, and project execution. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Fluency in French required. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
