Intermediate Mechanical Maintenance Technician Location: Tiverton, ON Work Schedule: 5 days/week on-site Contract: 1 year Rate: $45–$60/hour, depending on experience We are currently looking for an Intermediate Mechanical Maintenance Technician to support maintenance activities at a major nuclear power generation facility in Tiverton. This is a 1-year contract opportunity, working fully on-site, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities Perform mechanical maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on plant equipment. Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, procedures, and technical documentation. Assist with equipment installation, modification, testing, and commissioning as required. Follow established maintenance procedures and nuclear safety requirements. Complete maintenance documentation and work records accurately. Work closely with engineering, operations, and other maintenance teams. Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance. Qualifications 3–7 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or a related industrial environment. Mechanical maintenance experience within power generation, nuclear, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation. Experience working with pumps, valves, rotating equipment, piping, or other industrial mechanical systems is an asset. Strong commitment to workplace safety and procedural compliance. Nuclear or power generation experience is considered an asset. What We Offer $45–$60/hour, based on experience. 1-year contract with a major power generation organization. Consistent 5-day on-site schedule in Tiverton.
