POSITION OVERVIEW: Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, this position performs a variety of functions in an engineering and manufacturing capacity. These duties include but are not limited to developing, revising, and editing CAD drawings for fabricated products, creating and revising bills of materials (BOM) based on designs, troubleshooting and evaluating design inefficiencies, providing technical support, and assisting in other engineering projects as required. This role has been created to cover a current vacancy within the team. RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner with the Manufacturing and Sales Teams to develop, design, and review Albarrie engineering drawings and design layouts. Create bills of material (BOM) for Albarrie produced and outsourced products, and create new items within the ERP system. Maintain and coordinate the change control process for updates to BOMs based on engineered drawings. Work with the engineering team to develop initial product cost models from a design and BOM perspective. Perform time studies with the manufacturing group on new and existing products. Support and liaison with the sales teams on product development by evaluating machine parameters/constraints and providing research results and recommendations. Research and source parts for designs, and create requisitions for approval. Collaborate across cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Sales, QA, and IT, to support process engineering and design initiatives. Participate in and support other engineering projects as required. QUALIFICATIONS: College diploma in Mechanical Technologist or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial application environment. Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs and the creation of bills of materials (BOM). Proficiency in mechanical design, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. Proven ability to conceptualize ideas and convert them into manufacturable designs. Experience creating and working within process engineering and design. Knowledge of ERP systems is an asset. Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as cohesively within cross-functional teams. Strong time management and organizational skills to handle simultaneous deadlines under pressure. WHY JOIN US? Requirements

Requires a college diploma in Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience, along with at least five years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Candidates should have strong mechanical design and BOM expertise, proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and the ability to develop manufacturable designs, communicate effectively, and manage work independently and across teams.
