We're currently seeking a Licensed Industrial Mechanic (433A Millwright) to join our maintenance team in Brantford. This role plays a critical part in maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations. You will work on a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated production systems while contributing to preventive maintenance initiatives and continuous improvement projects. What You'll Be Working On PLC-controlled production equipment Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Vinyl processing equipment Sheet metal forming equipment Industrial sewing equipment Material handling and production support equipment Facility mechanical systems Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment issues. Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis. Respond to unplanned equipment downtime and emergency breakdowns. Perform equipment installations, modifications and upgrades. Assist with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting of automated equipment. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Execute and support preventive maintenance programs. Perform equipment inspections and plant walk-throughs. Identify opportunities to improve reliability and equipment performance. Recommend corrective actions and equipment modifications to reduce downtime. Safety & Compliance Actively participate in all plant safety initiatives. Ensure compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies. Identify and address unsafe equipment or operating conditions. Support a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility. Maintenance Planning & Coordination Prioritize maintenance activities to support operational requirements. Coordinate repairs with equipment manufacturers, vendors and contractors. Assist in sourcing replacement parts and maintenance solutions. Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using MaintainX CMMS. Qualifications Required Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities Experience working with: Hydraulic systems Pneumatic systems Mechanical drives and power transmission components Industrial production equipment Ability to read equipment manuals, drawings and schematics Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications Preferred Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced production environment CMMS experience (MaintainX or similar systems) Welding and fabrication experience Electrical troubleshooting knowledge What Success Looks Like The successful candidate will: Take ownership of equipment reliability.
