We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optical Technician/Optician Assistant for a full-time/part time position within our dynamic optical practice. This role is essential in supporting the delivery of exceptional eye care services and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients. The successful candidate will assist with optical measurements, lens fitting, and customer service, contributing to our commitment to clarity and vision excellence. Responsibilities Assist opticians in measuring, fitting, and adjusting eyewear to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction Prepare lenses and frames in the laboratory, utilizing laboratory equipment and techniques with precision In house lab work: inserting lab-finished lenses into patients' own frames, checking completed jobs for accuracy, frame adjustments and repairs Pre-testing patients for our optometrists Provide exceptional customer service by explaining lens options, frame selections, and care instructions clearly Maintain accurate patient records, including prescriptions, measurements, and purchase details Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products and accessories aligned with customer needs Stay informed about the latest optical products, technologies, and industry trends to assist customers effectively Collaborate with team members to streamline workflow and enhance patient satisfaction Delivering great service n a friendly, fast paced environment Qualifications Prior experience in optical settings or laboratory work is highly desirable Filipino/Tagalog is an asset, since we serve many Filipino-speaking clients Experience with retail sales or sales-driven environments supports effective customer engagement Previous exposure to retail management or supervisory roles can contribute to team leadership capabilities Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving industry standards If you possess a strong foundation in optical technology combined with excellent interpersonal skills, we encourage you to apply.
