Hourly rate: $19.00 / hr Type: Full-time + 2X OT Location: Markham Exciting opportunities are now open for Production Assembly Technicians to join a leading-edge Medical Device manufacturing team. These roles are critical to the production of high-quality medical technology and offer a chance to work in a precision-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble small, high-precision medical devices following detailed work instructions Perform fine hand soldering under a microscope Bond or glue small components with precision Work with microscope and camera-assisted systems for fine-part assembly Inspect and test assemblies to meet strict quality and performance standards Accurately complete production and quality documentation Prepare finished devices for shipment Maintain clean, safe, and organized workstations Adhere to ISO 13485 quality and regulatory standards Lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs as required Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor Who This Role Is Ideal For This role is a strong fit for candidates with backgrounds in: Medical device or electronics assembly Jewelry making or repair Watchmaking Laboratory or technical bench work Other roles requiring fine finger movements, steady hands, and hand-eye coordination Preferred Qualifications Post-secondary education preferred (Biotechnology, medical, electronics, or related field) 6–12 months minimum hands-on experience in: Medical device assembly Electronics or micro-assembly Jewelry or other fine-detail work Experience with hand soldering and use of microscopes preferred Comfortable working with very small, delicate components Strong ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and consistently Understanding of manufacturing in regulated environments (ISO 13485) Key Skills & Attributes Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor control Strong visual focus and ability to work under magnification High attention to detail and precision Calm, steady work style — able to stay focused for extended periods Comfortable working independently with minimal social interaction Dependable, punctual, and consistent Not permitted to troubleshoot, optimize, or modify processes — procedures are already lean and standardized

Requirements

Candidates should have at least 6–12 months of hands-on experience in medical device or electronics assembly, micro-assembly, jewelry, or other fine-detail work; soldering and microscope experience are preferred. Post-secondary education in biotechnology, medical, electronics, or a related field is preferred, along with strong dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to follow standardized procedures.
