SENIOR CNC MANUFACTURING ENGINEER Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time Location: Exco Extrusion Dies, Markham, Ontario Industry: Extrusion Die and Mold Machining EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in the metal machining industry, including: * CNC programming for both milling and turning * Experience working with machine controls such as FANUC, Mitsubishi, and Heidenhain * Strong practical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and manufacturing techniques JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Test and develop cutting tools, machining techniques, and manufacturing methods, with a primary focus on milling applications both before and after heat treatment * Develop and optimize CNC machine macro programs, with a focus on automation and process efficiency * Develop machine shop applications and automation solutions in collaboration with the IT team * Guide and support the CAM development team * Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day technical issues within the machine shop * Support continuous improvement initiatives related to machining processes, productivity, quality, and automation * Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to other team members as required * Travel internationally for short-term assignments as required SKILLS AND QUALITIES Strong fundamentals in mathematics, physics, mechanical engineering, and machining principles are essential. The successful candidate will be: * Proactive and creative in solving manufacturing challenges * Detail-oriented and technically strong * Decisive and capable of taking ownership of technical issues * Collaborative and comfortable working across Engineering, Manufacturing, CAM, and IT teams * Mentoring-focused and willing to share knowledge and develop others * Motivated to continuously improve existing processes and develop new solutions EDUCATION Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. COMPENSATION * Competitive salary: $90,000–$110,000 * Comprehensive benefits package * Profit-sharing program
