Job Overview: Our employer partner is seeking an Electric Motor Mechanic to support the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and rebuilding of electric motors, generators, pumps, and other rotating equipment. Key Responsibilities: * Assemble and test electric motors, generators, stators, armatures, and rotors * Perform root cause failure analysis to identify causes of failure and recommend corrective action * Test windings for motor-housing clearance, grounds, and short circuits using tools such as clearance gauges, growlers, surge testers, meters, meggers, core loss testers, and resistance bridges * Dismantle and assess the mechanical condition of motors visually and with measuring devices such as verniers, micrometers, and feeler gauges * Complete tasks in an orderly, professional, and efficient manner * Ensure quality standards are met or exceeded * Complete documentation clearly, neatly, and accurately * Interact with customers and team members to support strong service standards * Travel on site to diagnose or repair customer equipment as required * Follow company policies, procedures, and quality system operating procedures * Perform all job functions safely and in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements * Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications: * 5–7 years of relevant experience * Good communication skills in English, with strong math and writing skills * At least level 6 CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) preferred * Ability to work independently or with limited supervision and make sound decisions * Mechanically inclined, with a good understanding of industrial processes and applications * Ability to work well with others in a fair and friendly environment * Valid driver’s license with a clean record Additional Information: * Benefits: Comprehensive health, dental, and medical benefits, wellness supports, RSP matching, and generous vacation * Additional perks: Service milestones, peer recognition, employee discounts, and incentives * Work arrangement: Hybrid working models may be available where applicable Due to ongoing demand, our employer partner is continuously hiring for this position.
