LAPORTE is looking for a senior structural engineer with ideally a minimum of 7 years of experience in structural design and analysis, who will contribute to the integration of structural solutions in our industrial projects. This person will play a key role in the design, implementation, and coordination of structural engineering solutions, in collaboration with our multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities Perform analysis and design of structures for industrial buildings, foundations, mezzanines, platforms, and equipment supports; Prepare technical documents (calculations, specifications, plans, reports); Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (Quebec Building Code, CSA, CNB, etc.); Provide technical support on site: coordination, inspections, work monitoring; Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (processes, mechanical, electrical, building) to integrate structural solutions into projects; Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and partners to ensure the quality and smooth running of projects; Supervise and support less experienced engineers and professionals in the context of projects. Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent discipline; Engineers, Member of Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), required; Engineers who are members of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) are an asset; Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in industrial or steel structure projects; Excellent knowledge of design and construction codes and standards; Proven ability to lead a project from design to completion; Excellent communication skills; bilingualism (French/English) an asset; Experience with structural design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD, S-Frame, or equivalent) is an asset. Exigences

Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering and professional licensure with PEO (OIQ is an asset). Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in industrial or steel structure projects and proficiency in structural design software.
