Job summary

Fine Gold Resources is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March to October and are looking to hire a seasonal Lube and Oil Technician, to be based outside of Dawson City, Yukon. We provide accommodation and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package. The mine operates 24/7 with two shifts each day - a day shift and a night shift - with a rotation schedule. During their time off employees may stay on-site at the camp or venture to Dawson City for some time away. For candidates local to the Dawson City area, we are open to considering an onsite / offsite working schedule. Job Duties: Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures. Receive direction from the mine supervisor for the day-to-day operations work schedule. Complete chassis lubrication, oil, and oil filter changes. Inspection of all equipment fluid levels air and cabin air filtration devices, belts, batteries, and other wear items and reporting on the status of such components. Keep track of inventory of services on the machinery. Experience with tire maintenance and repair is an asset. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: Experience with lubrication of equipment would be considered an asset. Physically fit to do manual labour and heavy lifting. Acceptable driver’s abstract. Ability to work day and night shifts. Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team setting and alone as required.
