Levitt-Safety is hiring mechanically inclined Service Technicians to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain vehicle fire suppression systems on heavy mobile equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and support equipment across mine sites in Fort McMurray. Why Technicians Join Us FIFO to Fort McMurray 14 on / 14 off rotation Flights & housing covered LOA available for local candidates Competitive compensation RRSP matching & profit sharing Extended health, dental & vision benefits Strong safety-focused culture Full-time contracts with a long-standing stable Canadian company What You’ll Do Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle fire suppression systems Service safety equipment including extinguishers, alarms, and emergency systems Complete scheduled maintenance and emergency service calls Document inspections and repairs using iPad-based reporting Work directly with customers and site personnel Maintain service inventory and readiness Follow all site and company safety procedures What You Bring Mechanical experience in heavy equipment, automotive, industrial, or related environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Basic electrical knowledge Comfortable reading schematics and technical manuals Experience with fire suppression systems is an asset Valid driver’s license with clean abstract Ability to pass drug, alcohol, and site access testing Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces Able to work outdoors and around heavy equipment Comfortable with long shifts and uneven terrain Application & Hiring Process Levitt-Safety may use AI-enabled tools to support the screening and assessment of applications.
