Levitt-Safety is hiring a hands-on Service Technician for a dedicated industrial site in Northwestern Ontario. This is a site-based rotational role, well-suited to technicians based in Northwestern Ontario or Manitoba, focused on maintaining vehicle fire suppression systems on mobile equipment. The ideal candidate will be based in Winnipeg and/or Thunder Bay. Work Schedule 14 days on / 14 days off 12-hour shifts Fly-in/Fly-out or Drive-in/Fly-out (Travel hubs: Winnipeg or Thunder Bay) Meals & accommodations provided Same site, every rotation If you want consistent hours and time off you can actually plan around — this role is for you. Pay & Benefits $30–$36/hour (based on experience & certifications) Paid travel from your home base (including Manitoba) Underground premium Paid manufacturer training & certification Full benefits RRSP match Profit sharing The role and what you’ll Be Doing Inspecting & servicing vehicle fire suppression systems Preventative maintenance on mobile equipment Troubleshooting mechanical & basic electrical issues Servicing Ansul systems (training provided if needed) Supporting Kidde, Fogmaker & Amerex systems Completing service reports & safety documentation Coordinating parts & planning with the Levitt team Supporting emergency callouts when required What You Need Hands-on mechanical experience (mobile equipment, heavy equipment, industrial systems, or vehicles) Comfortable using hand & power tools Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract Able to lift 50 lbs Comfortable working underground & in confined spaces Able to pass drug & background checks Bonus If You Have Fire suppression or life safety experience Underground or mining background Ansul certification Rotational site experience Based in Manitoba or Northwestern Ontario Why choose Levitt-Safety as an employer?
