Our solution addresses the environmental impact and significantly improves yield and food security, positioning SmartSoil as the next-generation standard for sustainable hydroponic farming [1]. https://www.lyrata.ca/ Role Description We are looking for additional greenhouse technicians to join our greenhouse team! This job is a full-time on-site role for a Greenhouse Technician in Greater Toronto, Canada. The greenhouse technician will be responsible for tasks such as, but not limited to, greenhouse maintenance, crop harvesting, inventory management, experiment maintenance, and engineering tasks at our pilot farms across the GTA. The minimum contract length is one year. Qualifications • Has a full G license or equivalent. • Ability to travel independently between greenhouse locations across the GTA from the University of Toronto St. George campus by car. Preferable if you own a vehicle • Has a minimum of a bachelor's in the life sciences. • Preferable if you live close to UTSC (University of Toronto Scarborough). • Preferable if you are a U of T alumni or current student. • Attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions accurately. • Strong organizational skills. • Background in Horticulture or related fields is a plus. • A master's degree from a Canadian institution is a plus.
