Job summary

Job Description The Laser Field Technician will report to the Senior Technical Manager, Plasma-Robot. The role involves installing CNC plasma machines across Canada and/or the United States, training operators, responding to service calls, providing on-site technical support, and performing related service and maintenance tasks. Responsibilities Perform the installation process of new machines, including commissioning and customer training, throughout North America. Carry out preventive maintenance on equipment. Diagnose and repair equipment at customer sites. Adjust and operate machines according to production requirements. Complete and submit service reports. Assist internal plant teams and technical support when required. Perform any other related tasks as needed. Requirements DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Industrial Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Electromechanics or Industrial Mechanics. Experience with plasma cutting processes (an asset). Experience with CNC systems (an asset). Good computer skills (diagnostics, industrial software, system configuration). Valid driver's license. Availability to travel on a regular basis. Excellent communication skills in English, spoken and written. English proficiency is required due to interactions with stakeholders across Canada and the United States.
