This position will assemble our paper systems products along with other assembly tasks. This position requires a self-starter, able to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications as well as a continuous improvement mindset. The ideal candidate would be capable in other areas of the shop including quality control, material preparation and metal fabrication and machining. This is a new position for the business and we are looking to improve and establish procedures, structure, and best-practices. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly of Paper Systems and other assemblies. Review and understand assembly, part and schematic drawings. Assist Paper Systems Team with test setup and testing. Improve existing assembly and manufacturing processes. Assist with quality control including measurements with precision measuring equipment. Assist in other areas of the metal fabrication shop. Required Skills & Abilities: 2 Year Diploma in a mechanical discipline or equivalent education. 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience. Electrical and pneumatic experience is an asset. Able to use an ERP to source information. ProShop ERP experience is an asset. Able to use Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and soft skills. Strong organizational, planning, and scheduling skills. Adaptable in rapidly-changing environments. Able to occasionally lift 40 lbs unassisted. Able to operate a sit-down counterbalanced forklift. Other abilities in metal fabrication or machining is an asset. Requirements
Candidates must have a 2-year diploma in a mechanical discipline or equivalent and at least 3 years of mechanical assembly experience. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and operating a forklift is required.
