ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY: McDougall Energy is looking for a skilled 310T Truck and Coach Technician/Active Apprentice based out of our North Bay Shop. Reporting to the Shop Manager, this role is an integral member of the team responsible for servicing our dedicated, internal fleet with a variety of makes, models and types of equipment. We value your skills and offer an exciting work environment where you can get your wheels turning Responsibilities include: * Performing Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) safety inspections on tractors and trailers in compliance with provincial regulations * Assisting with and performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, powertrains, electrical systems, and aftertreatment systems (tractors) * Inspecting, servicing, and repairing trailer systems, including brakes, suspension, lighting, ABS, and structural components * Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues using appropriate tools and diagnostic software (as applicable to experience level) * Performing preventative and predictive maintenance on all fleet equipment to ensure safety and reliability * Accurately documenting inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, including daily logs and service reports * Assisting with parts identification and communicating repair needs to support efficient workflow * Conducting post-repair inspections and supporting road testing to verify safe operation * Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper use and care of tools and equipment * Always following all occupational health and safety policies and procedures ABOUT YOU: The ideal candidate will have: * A valid 310T License or active Apprenticeship * A valid G Class Driver’s License * Strong interpersonal skills and the desire to be a team player * The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment * Numeric ability and strong problem-solving skills * Demonstrated experience providing excellent customer service * Willingness to travel WHAT WE OFFER: We offer career growth and development through on-the-job training, professional courses, and peer learning in a friendly and inclusive work environment that allows you to thrive both personally and professionally.
